Inaki Williams' consecutive appearance record

Inaki Williams made the milestone of 251 consecutive La Liga appearances for Athletic Bilbao and became an important link in this team's attack.

The 28-year-old striker has scored 78 goals since rising to the Bilbao first team in 2014.

Inaki Williams has spent his entire career playing for Bilbao with a total of 356 appearances. He used to play for Spain at youth level but eventually chose his hometown Ghana to play.

Williams' record will stop at 251 consecutive games

Inaki Williams put in a good performance in Athletic Bilbao's match against Valencia in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals midweek.

This player created 2 goals to help Ernesto Valverde's army enter the next round with a 3-1 victory.

But Williams picked up an injury in that game and missed out against Celta Vigo in La Liga.

The last time Williams missed a La Liga game was in April 2016. That was when Leicester won the Premier League, Arsene Wenger led Arsenal and England were knocked out of the Euros by Iceland.

Williams broke the record for consecutive appearances in October 2021, surpassing Juanan Larranaga's 202-match mark for Real Sociedad. And Williams' record will stop at 251 consecutive games.
